Yes my wife and I are going but will be late. Our son is getting married in Halifax Nova Scotia, on the Sunday before and We can't leave for Louisville until the Tuesday. It should be a long ride. Fred Drew
NO ... Only missed once in 20 plus years ( I was in the hospital with a heart attack ) ... but no more for me. When they opened it up past 1948 ... it lost it's appeal to me.
I understand there is a place and should be a show for different so i agree . but beings they opened it up , i will be taking my 55 ford coe there with my brothers 40 international woodie. we will be driving them from dallas texas. I was raised there in louisville on white castles. We went to fern creek high school in the 68. If you see my old truck stop and say hi to another hamber jerry
Make sure to look for the HAMB Meet & Greet at the Rod Kings camp! Details about mid-July, and yes for those that have been there in the past....I am sure Hot Rod Bob will have plenty of his world famous shine!
Most of my family will be going this year. My dad will be unveiling his '48 Anglia in the Builders' Showcase. Rod Crafters in Welcome, NC did a hell of a job. Come by and check it out.
As you come through the main gate at the first intersection turn left and then look to your right....under all the shade trees....you will see the "Rod Kings" sign.
I do not feel that strongly. I just choose to not to be a partcipant A LOT of folks here have the later models that NSRA now allows. If they wish to go ... that is fine by me. A LOT of folks on the HAMB are a lot closer to Louisville KY than I am. The event is 550 miles one way for me. It just does not appeal to me to drive that far, pay the big MOTEL rates and put up with all the stuff to see way to many 65 up vehicles. I think I will be going to the Frog Follies It is even further from my home but the vehicles are pre 49 and THAT appeals to me. That's the BIG DIFFERENCE
Sweet. My dad's had this car longer than he's had me for a son . I'm proud of him for finally getting it done. It's bright yellow, you can't miss it.
yeah i'll be there.if you stay close to fairgrounds, motel rates are steep.go back 4-5miles down the road not so bad. i look at what i want and skip the rest. bring a lawn chair
I really wanna go, already missed Beatersville this year 'cause I was too lazy to go myself and couldn't find anyone to ride along with me from Danville. I'll have to walk in nonetheless but it promises to be worth it.
er i'm not sure you can walk in with a cooler.but i know you can drive in with a cooler.full of beer or whatever. anybody know the answer about cooler if walking in?
Deuce, Frog Follies is probably the best Rod Run in the country. Also the best value, no rip offs, and great swap meet. Regards NSRA Nats, I've had numerous pre 48 streetrods and now have later models. Having just as much fun just later model cars. Last years event attendance was down slightly but I still had a ball. I still like 50's and 60's cars and don't look at later crap thats there.
Quit going and not going back.....only good show in Louisville is Beatersville and it was packed yesterday and what a show!!!!!!!!
