What do you think are the best cars from the 1930s?

Just so all you know: I'm lenmann's daughter and I'm doing a project about the cars of the 1930s and I wanted to see what all you guys thought of the best as in "the car that everybody wanted". The car people saw and went "Woah, thats amazing". Just wanted to clear that up. I've already surveyed my dad but I thought what a better place to get more responses than from the H.A.M.B!

  2. Well, I like my 37 Cadillac. But I think a Cord would be neat.

Defenitly not Fords, everyone who got one seems to have modify them. Chop the roof, take away the fenders, change engine (to csb and hemi´s). You name it....
    It must be Chevys...

Duesenbergs,Auburns, Rolls, Cadillac, a bunch of European cars, Packards and Chryslers. But, kind of a silly question-why do you ask?

Define "best". Value? Durability? Easiest to restore? Style?

Mopars for sure! All steel framed bodies, and hydraulic brakes, both before GM & Ford.

Really anything manufactured by FORD from 30-36 does it for me. I am sure the higher end coach builders made nicers cars but not to me. They were perfected in 30 thru 36.

  12. Your question has many answers depending on what you want to find out.

As for me, styling of 32-36 Fords, 37-38 Chevys, 37-40 Lincoln Zephyr coupes to name a few that I like.

  13. Model 40 Ford.

The whole decade was a golden age in automotive styling. Difficult to pin down to a few examples.
