Which is a better set up for a flathead

    Fellow Hammer out there .im going to Build and blower motor out my flattie im going to go
    3-71or 4-71 its going to be old school ..
    The question is which would be a better combo of trans settup
    with a blown flathead im thinking three pedals . This my have been asked before .. any way any info would b great

    T5 or a C4 auto behind a flato adapter. Stay away from the early Ford trans if your going to make a lot of power and spend a lot of time frying the tires;)

    Just my .02 since you asked. Ford T&C top loader four speed with the Jeep T-176 shifter.

    T 5 from an S10. You will have a gear for every speed from 5 to 105. You can do it on an 8BA with mostly stock parts and a 200 dollar adaptor.
