Let's see em, low low cars/trucks WITHOUT bags!

  1. MII by Chubby Chassis, stock spindles. rear Jamco dearched springs, no blocks.

    ...lots of room to go lower if I wanted; but it is plenty low enough for a regular driver. ...just scrapes a little on speed bumps and some driveways. ...just minimal trouble at this height.

    My Pontiac was pretty dang low. Was my daily driver, and drove it across the country and back, did a lot of scrapin but looked good doing it!

    You know the old saying "bags are for groceries".

    The front bumper of my truck is only about 2-3" off the ground, and I drive it regularly, on michigan roads too.:eek:

    got the torch too close to the rear springs, so we put aerostar front coils in front, and 2 sets of 1.5 inch rubber spacers to get it back up.

    3 inch dropped spindles and 1 1/2 out of the front coils. Sits 10 inches lower than it did when it was on it's stock chassis. :)

    Mono leaf with a 3 in. block and air shocks with on-board compressor in the rear, and 2.5 in. drop spindles with aerostar springs up front.

    Heres my Falcon, cut 2 coils in the front, and 2 1/2 blocks in the back, i want it lower but its a budget build so its good for right now

    This is a terrible scan,and I hate to even post it. Anyway,this is 2 or 2.5 coils off the front springs,and heated rear springs. It may not look low in the pic,but I drug the headers pretty regularly. This is from '97.

    My truck is now on 3" lowered springs in the front,and 6" in the back now. I haven't dragged anything in a long time.

    This thing is a One Ton chassis. The first thing was to ditch the 19.5 wheels, then make a front bumper (1956 chevy truck notched in rear, heated, and bent to perfection). Then take a bunch of springs out front and rear. Lowered it a good 6 to 8 inches. Actually still drives good!!!

    Had four people in it so little extra low. On hard acceleration the bar touches the tar, Gotta love screwed shocks!

    s10 front clip, widened 6", with dropped spindles and a cut coils. and the rear is 2-linked on xj jag coilovers. rides fantastic at about 2-1/2" at the crossmember.

    i put about 100 miles a day on it

    Thanks Fellas. AcadianKid you are dead on. I bought the car from Steve and Kyle out of Indy. It was love at first sight, when I saw it in an issue of NOVA magazine. The front has AFCO coilovers and rear are mono-leafs. The suspension travel is very small. It is as low as you can get with out being a complete pain in the ass. Speed bumps are out of the question. Since I bought, I have: reworked the exhaust for more ground clearance, put a fatter cam in with air-gap intake, removed the powerglide and put in a Richmond 5-speed w/ hydraulic throwout (great move).

    I am always thinking of changing it up a little, but always come to the same answer...don't touch it. It looks perfect as it is. Big ups to Kyle and Steve, they built / designed a classic. The only thing is a set of 15" black steelies, big and littles, with optional dog dish caps.
