After only 3 years, my "54 Plymouth wagon is done. The top is chopped 3", wing windows and rear side window dividers are removed. The car has a 405" Chev small block, (sorry, Mopar purists), with Trick Flow aluminum heads, Edelbrock Air gap manifold & carb, Crower hydraukic cam, etc, 700R4 trans, 9" ford, with 3.89-1 gears; S-10 front frame graft, with dropped spindles. Thanks to Jim Arnold, the old car glass guy, NONAME, for doing all the glass, and supplying a front roof section and door tops, which made the top chop much easier. the first pictures show what I started with, and what I ended up with. the rest of the pictures show the top chop steps.

Nice chop, it really gives the car some attitude, great color choice too.

    Luv it!!!!
What kind of drop spindles did you get for this? I have a s10 clip as well.
What is the width of your rear end?

I wish I had the skills to do a chop like that! Im too scared, and un'learn'd.

DANG! Now that is what I call making a silk purse out of a sows ear. Very nice!! I imagine it was a pretty steady 3 years to pull this off. Lots of work but looks well worth it in my opinion.

The S-10 dropped spindles are Bell Tech, from Summit, part #bel-210, the rear-end width is 53 1/8" axle flange to axle flange. Bob

  26. Holy Moly what a nice car,,I know how difficult it is to build a wagon,,especially an odd ball that parts are not easily found,,,

3 years huh?,,you work fast..I've been hammering on our wagon for 8 years now and still ain't driving,,but I've built a couple of other cars in between!

    Beautiful car ,,excellent work. HRP

Sure gives a somewhat clumsy design a sleek proile. Congratulations on keeping the faith until it was finished. It's easy to get frustrated and burned out on a build (and thus giving up)that takes this long but you saw the vision through to completion. Two thumbs up!
