    I know this is an old post, but were you referring to the Grist Bros '41 Willys with the 501ci 430 MEL engine?

    Yup, thats the car, and holy crap that cammer 41' willys is awesome, I know there was one 41' with an SOHC that ran called "The Cat Skinner"

    Headers look like they will be a fun job to build. ;) Motor looks good in there.

  10. Thanks. Ya, I have a set from crites that fit, just a tight squeeze to get them in there. Plug maintenance will be a bitch.

    You're spot on, the previous owner of the intake ran a nitrous set up. Sucks he drilled it but I don't think the plugs look too bad.

    Actually I think it looks kinda cool, plus it'd be easy to add nitrous if you wanted to.

    I'm very interested in your '64 Fairlane project as I'm starting one of my own. You mention the Crites headers. Did you use the Crites shock tower plates when you cut your towers? Did you use the Crites engine mounts? Are you going to run the stock suspension up front? Any info you could provide would be appreciated.

    Have a 514, Blue Thunder heads, tunnel ram with Predator carbs going in a 42 Studebaker Champion coupe.

    The 65 Comet in my avatar is my ride.351W out to 418",Jerico 4-speed,coil overs,ladder bars,ran a best so far,only 7 runs,10.33 @ 128+,3200lbs with me in it! ROY.
