I hate to make such a stupid request but I need some color ideas. I've been searching for weeks for the right color and I can't find it. I'm looking for an antique white or dirty cream color maybe with a gold pearl in it. All I'm finding are champagne's, whites and straight golds. HELP!
In the wise words of my friend Randy (deuce roadster) color is the hardest decision right next to what woman you want... there are many choices redheads, blondes, brunettes, black,,, color may even be a harder choice.. I was ready to paint my car Hot Rod Black.. but heres where I went with it.. it all depends on the ride though...
Most of the metal work is done on the caddy thanks to my buddy phil... rustypipes here. Trying to get the car in color in the next few weeks. Body will be temporarily a dark flat burgundy pearl. Roof and visor I want to to with a classy gloss darker antique white or dirty cream... like maybe a chai latte color with a gold pearl. It will be the permanent color as im doing the interior black and cream. I'll post up some pictures when things get closer. Here it is as of a month ago...
Yeah, something like that. Just looking for paint chips and codes. Trying to keep it classy. All the body work has been to smooth it out.
Try bisque or light almond. Those both come out an off white. Don't look for stock colors. Then get your self some clear and mix some pearl in it. If you want a perl gold getyourself some candy base coat it comes in gold pearl then clear over it.
Take a look in the Mercedes color charts from a few years back. They always seem to have similar colors to that.
Your answer might be the nearest Harley dealership. They have done some awesome things with the colors you mention, especially on the not so older FLH models. The actual Harley paint is NOT cheap to purchase though.
Here's a color that grabs me by the boo boo every time I look at it... I wish there were more pictures of this one....
your local body supply store should have paint chips for you to look at----for example--i use dupont and the spectramaster chips should have what you want----or the hot hues/house of color chips might have what u want---i try to see the color on a car [in person] or i spray out a test panel --after i have it narrowed right down to only 2 choices or so
I've got pagan gold but I don't want to go full gold. Thanks for the tips guys. Ill check all of those.
look at chysler's western cream...you will want to add some gold pearl to it but it is a great color. also vanilla shake that ford used back in 1993ish.
I need to find out what paint this is. I think it would be exactly what I'm looking for but with a glossy clear over it... maybe even a bit more gold pearl.
How about toyota 033, or dodge pw1. 3 stage it run a powder pearl if running solvent or t460 if running ppg water and mess with some or no base color in with your top coat test pannels and do a let down.
