Probably get a little attitude adjusting once it gets home next week. ;D Does anyone know the use/reasoning behind the double sided glass? It's on the two front windows, and the left rear...looks to be glued on for some odd reason, not sure what for.
What a beauty!! I love it. You need a mono leaf rear buggy spring and a dropped front axle and it will get you to a more reasonable height. Great car. That one has been baby-ed its whole life.
The plastic windows are called "frost shields" They were usually used in cold climates to help keep the windows clear of frost (in winter)....I am a native Minnesotan and am quite familiar with "frost shields" as they were commonly used back in the day... I worked at a gas station in the 50's and we would clean the glass with "Bon-Ami" and then install the shields on dry glass. They worked quite well as most of the old cars didn't have fresh air heaters or good defrosters. They even had some that were wired and you could plug them into the cigar lighter to keep the windshield clear in cold weather. '
A one sided razor blade with the small holding tool to cut the sticky seal and they will come off easily. Then some pure nail polish remover will remove the glue, or a product like Goo be Gone will do the job. http://www.nextag.com/Stanley-High-...rices-html?nxtg=6f3c0a500517-1913B37294E40A47
Love it! Keep that original interior, it's cool... Like the others said, get it dropped and drive it. I don't think I"ve ever seen the original trunk hinges on a 37, they've all been shaved.
That looks like a really clean car! Very nice. A little altitude adjustment and it'll be perfect. Nice score.
Yea, the littel V8 60 isn't going to cut it for long...but the car will retain a very stock looking exterior.
What a knock out, very cool v/8 60 and it will have the tube axle. Just a real honey. Some dual exhaust a little altitude adjustment and perfect. Don't beat that 60 on the freeway, take the secondary byways and cruise it at 55 and it will love ya. Congrats bro. ~sololobo~
MattStrube I love 37 flatbacks & thats one of the nicest I've seen. Any purist would have a heart attack if he knew that car & saw it altered in any way, Im glad Im not a purist. I 've still got the one I bought in 73, it's like part of the family, GREAT FIND...........
