  7. Wow - that Tom Black green 40 Merc is spectacular! Someday I'll get around to building a 40 Merc - it is just a few years out (too many current projects going at the same time!).

I'm not a big fan of green (always refused to paint green when I was a young painter of custom cars ) - it does look nice on this car. The only green I liked years ago was the dark British Racing Green sort of color - this Merc isn't far off.

With that said, my mind can't help but wander to other colors (because of my bad green bias issue) - imagine some sort of copper/gold pearl/iridescent

This is damn close to perfection for me right here, this post treatment looks fucking incredible and the stance........ cant even think of the right words to say.

I think the right word for that would be " SEXY "!

If this Mercury had Kevin Sledges stance or J.B.'s stance from my post #255 it would be beyond words perfect.I can't stop thinking about this merc ever since I saw it in Sacramento in 2009.
Where is this merc now ? I remember hearing it changed owner's.I just heard the car is just sitting and not being used.It is a tragedy in the world of Customs if this car is not getting drivin.
    PERFECTION

  18. Yup a little lift in the front and a front bumper would make this car perfect.

Couldn't agree more. What's up with the missing bumper?

WOW!!! This is just stunning right here,it just looks so early.I even like it without the skirt's but I would probably put them on.What a gorgeous car.

  21. Anyone know how much it's chopped?

They did work on the stance since the Sacramento show and raised it in the front. I think it needs to be just a little higher on the front, but it is already so much better than how it used to sit when it was just restored.

The missing front bumper was just because the car was not finished when the other photo(s) where taken.

Night and day difference after they have made effort to get the correct stance of the era.It does need to go up a tad bit more in the front as Rik mentioned but this looks 100 times better and this stunning Mercury deserves it.What a breathtaking car this is.I love the exaust coming thru the body, just beyond words.

  26. Wow thanks Rik. Huge improvement and just an outstanding car. It is kind of hard to tell but I think it probably sits with a bit more stance than these pictures show due to the fact it is half on the road and half on a drive way.
