I hate to admit this,,, But I'll be damed,,,,,,, I have owned a number of caddy's except a 62,, The year I was born,, And never did take note on the slope of the fin between the 61 & 62 till now. I was to busy looking at the tail lights thinking how the upright tail light of my 61 convert. made the fin look small.
I will say that what you have done with your Caddy so far is top notch Man,,,, very impressive to say the least. Like they say,,,, That is one mint caddy,,, :D (no pun intended) Thanks for the info Man ! I'll be watching this hay,,,,,,,,,

Thank you Ian for sharing this!!
Your work is not only very inspiring, i learnd a lot to!!
I'm working on a 53 hudson and used a lot of lead for smoothing the driprail.
Always cleaned up with water but after a day the metal becoms very rusty...
The use of baking soda to neutralize the acid is a very smart idea!!
    thanks an keep posting!!

Well, all i gotta say is THANK YOU so much!!! Positive feedbacks definitely keeps one motivated to move along!!!! Means a whole lot!! :)

Friday i got the motor in and made some motor mounts to fit the original motor mount holes on the chassis!!! took me a little longer than i thought, but it's in and it's perfect!!! Not easy lining up a transmission and a motor with only 2 hands and a few little wood blocks!!!!

I have little gussets for the transmission mount, just so difficult to weld so low......Once the body is off, it'll get done!!

After all the frame mods and whatever else needs to be done......... the frame will go to blasting and powder coating!!!! Then the body....
