Looking for a good TH 200R4 trans builder in So Cal ?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by rat bastad, May 8, 2011.

  1. Hey guys,

Two Hambers need a couple of 200R4s for our projects and were wanting to find a good trans rebuilder who is located in So Cal.

One will go behind a mild SBC; the other will go behind a strong street Olds Big Block so the builder needs to be able to build em right to last.

Both will need mild/tight convertors although they will both be street applications.

Can anyone recommend a decent trans builder who does'nt want drug money for a decent trans and stands behind their work?

    Thanx

    Rat

I talked to Art on the phone, he said he sold the biz with his name on it to the guys in Texas and then started the CPT shop after some sort of unpleasantnes.

  11. I called up Bowtie and they gave me tons of free advice even though I wasn't a customer. I became one a week later buying a bunch of cool performance upgrades. If they are willing to help a non customer, thats 100% great customer service. I would trust them on my next transmission. I heard about them on a high performance Camaro site and all gave excellent reviews!!
