Pinstriped sleeves for club t-shirts?

I'm getting ready to do some new t-shirts for our hot rod club and thought some long sleeved t's would be nice for our roadster pilots and those who ride scoots.

Of course, we can't leave those long sleeves plain, so some traditional striping would be perfect. Problem is that when I looked at all of the available clip art on the web I can't find anything I like.

Two color would be ideal but not required, something about 1 1/2" wide and 16" long, or could be resized to those dimensions without looking stretched.

Does anyone know of a resource for clip art like this? Or if you have some original artwork that could be used (and you're the rightful owner) I'd be interested in purchasing the rights to use it.

    Lemme know!

Thanks Nick, I had actually seen all of these so far and the only one remote close to what I'm looking for was this one...

...but it would need to be stretched/modified enough that it wouldn't look right when we were done. Remember, this is for the SLEEVES of a long sleeve t-shirt.

You can do it, if you go with a digital printing process..

If your screenprinter can't print that, find a better screenprinter.

We print silver and carbon conductive traces .5mm wide.

Yes, I've done other fineline striping for digitally printed shirts and they look great. I thought he may just be looking for something more traditional and forgive me for the term "Ol School".

do black shirts with flesh colored sleeves then stripe them up to look like tattoos. from a distance your club shirt will look like a sleeveless T with fully inked arms.

    nevermind

I sent the link to my screen printer. He's awesome and has some high-end equipment so I'm sure he'll be able to swing it, but I was thinking of heavier lines. Thanks Tommy for the pic and the permission!

Yep, JUST what I was looking for!

Ha ha ha ha... and maybe a screen printed piercing on the screen printed nipple?

I'm not saying a heavier line wouldn't LOOK better, on a t-shirt, just that it is not impossible to print fine lines.

Oh I totally understand. I had envisioned 1/8" lines, but what Tommy posted could look even better. Just FYI, our shirts are black with a white club logo.

great idea - surprised that there have not been more long sleeve shirts done with them-of,course the tattoo sleeve idea would be cool too-can buy slip on tattoo sleeves at some costume sites.

That was the original idea, but nobody but Tommy has offered anything. I certainly don't mind paying for some artwork!

I thought it'd be cool too, but I can't take credit for it. I've seen Harley shirts for years with flames and stuff, just wondered why nobody did striping.

Thanks Brett, I truly appreciate it! A club member did 5 samples and I posted them on the other thread. Another HAMB'er has offered to vectorize the image for me. Man, is this a great place or WHAT!?

  23. I guess this is the general idea for what you are planning. This is on a Goodguy's shirt, so the design would have to be changed a bit to avoid infringement issues, but it gives an idea of what pinstriped sleeves look like.

Yep, same idea, thanks for the pic. GG has some cool designs, but a club member did some original striping artwork for us to use. :)

From here on out, please use the H.A.M.B. O' Dex or some other forum more suited to discussing club shirt design to find an artist. The HAMB proper is for cars.
