Lettering and striping is done and I'm reclearing right now. Will be back with Bill tomorrow for buffing and assembly. Can't wait to see it finished. I still don't know how to upload photos though and don't have the time to figure it out.

well.....its been awhile since an update. hope its worth the wait. Bill Workman (owner) did the body work/primer/prep. He then took it over to Bob Cole of Cole Automotive to lay on the color. He then took it back, sanded it, had Dennis Ricklifs do the brush work on the stripes and lettering. Took it back to Bob and they covered it all with clear to seal the deal. He still needs to do a final cut and buff but i got excited, snapped some pics and decided to post them before hand!

PS-Bill added the roman numeral II below as not to take away from the real car. This vicky is not a true clone, also that the original is still out there. This car is not going to sit in some collection, its gona run down the strip like it was ment to do and did many years ago!!

its been awhile so id figure id give an update. The owner (bill workman) has finished final sanding and pollishing the body and is currently getting the chassis finished up for tear down. some final plumbing, routing of cables, wiring etc. I was over the other day to look at it....forgot my camera. hope to get over there this week. Body looks awsome, Dennis Ricklifs did an awsome job with the lettering and striping and Bob Cole laid down some great color/clear. Roof insert will be appolstered (in white) shortly so hope to get some pics of it installed on the body soon also. Thats all i got for now. stay tuned....

Bill Workman just installed the aluminum drop in roof insert and rolled it outside for the last time. Figured id get some pics before it gets covered up while waiting for the chassis to get painted and reasembled. Dave Martinez wraped it in white and stiched a seat cover in white as well. Great work Dave!

this build is unbelievable-fantastic craftsmanship-continue with updates-Thanks. I was a member o the Vulcans for a very short time, but did not want to give up girlfriend time (what a dummy). had a Hot Rod '55 Chevy and worked at Ritchie & Ritchie's Flying A gas station in Fullerton-they ran Super Stock Plymouths

  21. Holy shit, the quality of your sheet metal craftsmanship makes my hairs bristle- its just simply outstanding. In fact the car as a whole is incredible, love the workmanship on the cage as well.
This sure will be a sight to behold when it fires up on the drag strip.
    Looking foward to progress.

I saw the chassis in color today as Bill Workman picked it up from the Cole Automotive after getting some paint sprayed. Will get over to Bills shop with a camera tomorrow and take some pics

This is by far my most anticipated cars coming out. I would love to see it in person soon if I can get out there. It's just plain too cool.

Here are some shots of the chassis sitting at Bills shop. Silver is powder coat and the outside of the frame rails was painted vulcan purple by Bob Cole of Cole Automotive. Turned out awsome. Bill painted the alluminum belly pan vulcan purple himself. Cant wait till he gets her together. Will try and post update photos as he makes progress. Its nice to see the hundreds of hours of fab I have in this car finially get color and start coming together!
