I picked up a model A frame from Brent a couple weeks ago. He was also selling a set of '35 wires that I was really tempted by. I had been talking about them for a while when I finally decided that's what I wanted. To my dismay I sent a pm to Brent and said the wheels had already sold. This past Saturday my wife says to me that she is buying something from somebody and they were meeting us half way. I just figured it was a new jacket that she had been looking for. When we pulled up in the parking lot and she pointed us toward a truck it dawned on me that I had seen that truck before. My wife had gotten in touch with Brent and had bought the wheels a couple days before I had pm'd him. I was so excited and couldn't believe that my wife had got them. She is definitely a keeper!
Glad you got the wheels you wanted. My wife finds early Stewart Warner gauges all the time, I taught her what too look for.
That's cool that your wife finds gauges for you. The most surprising part is that she was able to keep it a secret. She usually gets too excited and can't keep it a surprise, but she got me good this time.
Nice story. You owe her something nice that she wants. Trust me, been married to the same lady for 37 years.
My wife doesn`t actually buy parts for me but always takes enough out of the budget to make me very happy. 46 years now.
Good score!! (The girl and the wheels!!) My wife supports my habit.... Er, hobbies! My last wife didn't, and that among many other reasons is why she's the ex.
My sweetheart bought a roof and I installed it... "No big deal"???? it was for the house! Now every time she says she bought something for me... I flinch and twitch because I know it's for me to replace and install!!!
Im jealous, I dont think my wife even knows the round black part (tire) seperates from the metal part (rim), let alone that I would even want or need different rims and tires.
