The HAMB was nothing like this when I joined 10 yrs ago...members posted what they had no drama or not as much drama from poswting. Thanks for the pics... But hey member since 2001? I'm just a grenade inspector so what do I know.

  13. Excellent coverage of what looked like a fun event. Cool and interesting pictures of all sorts of people that would be of wider interest than just HAMbers - you really should think about getting these published as a "coffee table" book.

I really appreciate the time you spent in this post.

some beautiful stuff...and - unfortunately - some real POS vehicles. How pitiful that those rust buckets get any attention at all.

Although i didn't see as many this year its an unfortunate part of life at these events. There seemed to be as many (if not more) at the Lone Star Round Up. Hopefully the promoters can continue to limit the amount of them in the future.
Still, one of the most memorable VLV's for us. The gals were indeed beautiful.

LOL!!! Yeah, you're going to have to make time to see it in person, hopefully soon! The DMV told me that it wasn't even a Model A when I registered it! :D

I had a great time at Viva! It is something I look forward to every year!! Thanks again for all the pics, and I liked the coverage of your road trip here also!

I know, I know....... I must seem like a fictional personality at this point......
I am going to plan some time for you to come over, blast some AC/DC and get busy on some heavy lifting of the coupe. I need help cause I'm broken right now with 4 herniated disks and arthritis in my lower back.

That's why I always do VIN checks through a Sheriff friend and NEVER take the car there..

    I'll do what I can.
It basically looks like a U Weld tubular rail system set up for 3x2 carb's.
It has flat base mounts to the intake for whatever application it may be for.
Then vertical round tubes from every chamber up to two primary horizontal tubes, one on either side of the intake, then additional vertical tubes up to the carb platform.(X's how ever many carbs.)
The rubber tubing connects in the middle to allow for cross flow at two equidistant spots on the rail.
It also looks like they are using bolt location conversions on the mounts for that particular carb. Most of the tops are set up for 94's or Stromberg 3 bolt bases. The fuel bowl and linkage is rotated 90 degrees than the previously stated carbs. (I honestly can't identify them right now.)
The carbs are just topped off with tower tubes and screen filter.
It almost gives it a Hilborn injection feeling.
Pretty common. I had a 8x2 done up for the Y Block I was building for my 34. If I can find you the link to the company I will post it.
    Very easy to do.
This set up is detailed very nice!!!

excellent pics and great coverage of an awesome event. . I'll take this over a goodguys fest of glass coupes and pt cruisers any day. . next to speedweek, and the Reno air races, this is my favorite event.

I kept waiting for a better shot but she never gave me the opportunity. I liked the red dress with the red parasol. Very classy! Made for a great photo op! Pass my appreciation on to her!
