Looking for U bolts

    Well tried lowering the back end of the 66 Coronet I have by placing blocks in the back, so got a set of 4" blocks, well everything was going fine and dandy when I got to the point of putting on the u bolts with the blocks the U bolts that I got are to big , question is where can I get u bolts that are 3 1/2 wide by 11" long to fit my application ?? any help would be appreciated.

    At a spring shop... they'll bend whatever size you need, take the correct diameter u bolt with you...

    I'd have to look around to see if there is any around my area any ideas of maybe where I can order some ?

    The quickest is probably a local 4x4 shop. Some parts houses carry some under the Dorman or other lines and a lot of us go to the local auto/truck spring shop and have them made or buy the ones that they have in stock.

    Here: http://www.tampaspringco.com/ They will have them or should be able to make them. make sure your measurements are correct you have to know the OD of the axle along with the length that you need and the diameter of the bolts you need.

    The local spring shop here focuses on big trucks gotta be one around if you live near a big city.
     
  7. Bottom line is ----

    You are not going to find these at a regular parts store.

    Find a shop that specializes in leaf springs (4x4 shop, trailer repair shop, etc...)

    They can make u-bolts custom fit to your specs. Been there / done that / got my ass wooped by a lowering block swap.
