I don't remember the name of that shinny peel and stick sound deadener stuff but I think if you spray a sound deadener / rust inhibitor on, it will form to any shape with no air spaces (that trap moister) and is just damned easy to do ! Carry on.
I used some black stuff called Q-Pads by Evercoat. They are extremely easy to form to the floor with a heat gun. Then over that, I used some MightyMat that is also very easy to work with. Here you can see the Q-Pad and the MightyMat over it. I can really tell the difference in the temperature and sound deadening. The guy sells MightyMat on ebay for a decent price http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MIGH...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories Michael
Awesome car, sweet story, too. I love the lines and the flow. If Ford had made them look like this back then, GM would have had a much, much earlier bankruptcy.
Hey Mark, the butter on my popcorn's get'n cold, what's the next scene? I know you've had a (Morris) minor distraction lately though...

Man that car just keeps getting better and better. I love that you're not going over the top on the custom stuff. It's gonna look like a car that could have been built by the factory. I've never been into the radical customs, glad to see you're not getting out of hand with it. Haven't seen one thing I would change so far. Probably the only thing we would disagree on would be I'm thinking a solid color instead of two tone but then who the Hell am I to tell you what to do on that car, just look at what you've done so far, absolutely perfect. Man you got a good eye, I'm jealous as Hell. I'll be very sad if I die before getting to see this finished. Now hurry up and finish it, please!
This is one of THOSE cars... the kind that wake me in the middle of the night thinking of their splendidnessity. WTF did I just say correct of previous This Car = Amazing
I had left the outside corner under the beltline trim unfinished until I finished inside the roof in that area so there would be no movement. Tonight I finished it off.
Well I cut and fit the 1/4 window trim to the beltline trim. I don't envy anyone that is fitting stainless to a custom car because it is cut and fit once with no room for error.
Thanks Chad......time is not on my side. The more I do the longer it takes. The end of the tunnel on fabrication is nearing on my end then it goes to the bodyman.
