Features The Official 60-66 C-10 Chevy Truck Picture Thread

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by TexasHardcore, May 8, 2006.

  1. I posted earlier in the thread....My Pop's,frame off resto....Everything is new and am ready to sell. Have all details. ORIGINAL OWNER with almost all regs, build sheets(Freemont plant),and all reciepts. Sorry to post here, but truck guys stick together.Might not be HAMB friendly, but it is what it is....Thanks-Kid

  2. Scored a '62 GMC 3/4 ton about 2 weeks ago. V6 2bbl, 4 speed. Got it to start last night. Needs a master (clutch side is puking) - is there an easy way to upgrade to a dual reservoir for the brake side?

The doors say 'Mac the Plumber'. I'm assuming it used to have a utility bed. The aftermarket gauges look like vintage SW stuff, but I don't know how vintage. Engine looks freshly rebuilt from pulling the valve covers, but like it hasn't been washed since about '65 on the outside. Zero rust except fro the surface rust on the hood and roof and the spots behind the front wheel wells.

Step 1: make it run good enough to drive home.
Step 2: ditch the bed.

Excuse the crappy camera phone pics...

While I know nothing about the history of the truck, except it has been sitting for many years, I already have a good story of my own. hours after posting it on facebook, an old girlfriend from high school (almost 25 years ago) messaged me that it brought back memories... My first car was a '66 C10, and her parents hated that truck... or maybe it was just me?

You scored big with no rust. 1/4 more tons of fun than a half ton. There is a HAMB C10 social club too.

Lol the biggest Mikey Thompson Sportsman's made at the time.. I forget the size, just remember they were the largest available.

It was fun... not long after that pic I bodydropped it and took 3" out of the top. It sat 53" from the ground to top. I got more pics I find em.

Thats to nice for a trailer. To bad it's not on a truck that looks as good as that bed does.
