    Thanks eightydeuce.

Sorry about the giant sizes on some of the posts. They were fine when I first posted them. What must have happened is that I cropped some photos from those pages and resized them bigger to get the crops to come out big.Apparantly Photobucket boosted the size I posted here also.I tried to knock the size down but does not seem to work.
I pretty much suck at this stuff.I'll get it figured out hopefully.

Thank you so much for posting this. I found my popop in there. Maple Grove, Sep 3 1965. A/A winner, 16.11 @ 77.8. My dad and uncle were there with him no doubt. What a thrill to see that. Thanks!!!

You mention Mousie Brown and you might not believe this but 'Hacksaw' is stashed in a barn not too far from here! Thats the truth, a buddy and i are going to go over there one day and take some 'barnfind' pics.
I am sure the paper is 'Jack Approved' (JA) Right? I got one of his stickers right beside my keyboard. Thanks for posting, oj

Absolutly Jack Approved.Got a couple of the stickers set aside for the old race car that is progressing way too slowly.

Get those pics and post them.No chance of it being rescued?

The factory wars were going strong.Ford did not think much of the AWB Mopars and did not want their drivers to run them.
California coverage denotes the fact that SS&DI was directly connected to EDN and was spreading to cover the west coast.

1965 was the year NASCAR decided to ban the Hemi.Richard Petty went drag racing instead.Too bad it turned to a disaster.

Lots of good stuff in this column.Stirring the waters.
Check out the paragraph under "More".
Was showing Don Garlits my scrapbook pics of his match race at South Glens Falls and he got to remarking how, when he went to the new Hemi,it was not as quick or fast as the early Hemi.
He told me he was talking to Connie Kalitta(if the memory is correct) about it,because Connie was running better.Kalitta said the new Hemis like a lot more lead so Big dialed it in and really woke the motor up.
