Thieves broke into my truck last night and got like $500 in tools and stuff. joy that makes me so happy wake up to.And the cops dont come out they said they call me in 2 weeks to take a report.how f .up is that.I love vegas
Are you actually surprised. Vegas is ripe with every vice known to man. it has created a bottom feeding enviornment that you don't see from the strip or from all the new fancy homes. Vegas is built on the weakness and compulsion of people. those people run out of work/money and must feed that compulsion and your shinny expensive stuff fits the bill. your local pawn shop has your stuff and they paid 50 bucks for it. hopefully you took the time to carve a mark in you tools that you can claim as yours. Vegas PD is a joke. they are on the payroll of the casinos and the developers. Their job is to protect the money and that is on the strip period. grab a 50 dollar chip off a table and make a run for the door. watch how many cops show up to process you. Sorry to hear your shit got stolen. what was missing and what do you need. I have extra and some tools I may be able to donate to help you get back up.

Just tell the cops you're sitting on the porch with a 12 guage alley sweeper and you're going to perforate the next low life who even looks at your truck. They'll have a unit out to process your report in three minutes. (Don't actually do the above if you own any type of a gun.)
no joke. Theives piss me off. I've had my car broken into 4 times. One time nothing was really visible. I had my cd case behind the back seat..tinted windows. Thought it was cool. They busted out my window..took the case. that's it. just the case. I got the case back..they stole 14 damn cd's. 14 cd's and I had to buy a new window. Fucking low lives. 3 stereos and one attempt on my car. 3 bikes. My room mates house got robbed...they stole everything....including his toothbrush. you work hard. You pay taxes. You pay insurance. Some bastard decides he wants it and takes it. The cops don't do jack. The insurance company says they don't cover that...etc...etc. it's all backwards. Pisses me off. Cops will take 2 weeks to come check on stolen goods. Police here can't solve a damn murder case to save their lives. But they can sure as hell write a good exhaust ticket.

If you need some stuff in a hurry, I have some tile & carpet tools you could borrow to get you by. With the crazy construction boom, trade tools have become an even hotter commodity. My neighbor just moved to a new place but on a higher profile street (more traffic) and lost all his capentry tools. Cops did a report but maybe because the truck was recovered after the theft. Check the Broadacres swapmeet this weekend and you might find some of your suff? Chris
oh crap... I didn't know you did flooring. I used to do that. We'd be dropping floors in some neighborhoods and we'd have to have one guy out there with an eye on the truck at all times. People will take whatever they can grab. Sucks. Not even anything they can use I'm sure. Check local pawn shops. sucks man. Sucks to get jacked...sucks even more when what gets jacked relates to your livelyhood.

I've been robbed twice in 2 years... the last time was 2 weeks ago... they got the top box of my tool chest before someone must have scared them... I had bits of my 49 in that frickin box... at least they didn't get the air tools in the bottom box.

was that from a garage at your house? i ALWAYS worry about my tools when i go out of town, locking up boxes and tool cabinet, but a dedicated thief can pretty much get what he wants.
