Thanks for the tour. It reminds me of a gentleman that I knew in Palmdale, CA. He had 2.5 acres of bitching old cars just waiting to be restored, mostly Fords. Then he had several buildings full of classic car parts are lined up on the same type of planks supported by cinder block shelving. He also had another property a couple of miles away that had hundreds of flatheads and associated parts just laying the dirt. This property also included 30 or so Fords from the 40s & 50s. Nice older gentleman, but did not want to sell anything. Man, it was a goldmine. He had been collecting for years.

  10. That is an amazing collection of old cars and parts. It's good to hear he's a cool old fella and that you made a new friend. There aren't many old timers to hang with and learn from anymore. Spend as much time with him as possible.

That Lempco crankshaft grinder was manufactured 15 minutes from my house in Bedford Ohio. I never knew that!

Yup I did, it's called the Mason Dixon line and I crossed it 5 years ago so now everything is fair game. :D:D:D

As long as I still don't have sheet metal for my '32 I'm going to be banging on all sorts of doors. Now if you wanted to cough up a set of doors and a decklid for me I would put a moratorium on parts hunting in your area. :D
