Purple is one of the mainstay traditional hot rod colors.

Sorry no pics but the local county government back in the early 60's had everything the county owned painted purple. Nothing like a flat purple roadgrader.

I saw your car at Billetproof. I was scratching my over the green visor in the hotel parking lot in the dark until I saw it at the show with the wheel covers in the daylight the next morning and then it all became clear. That's a really cool touch on a really sweet ride!

 

UP in the air at this time...Salina is the only one for certain right now...had the whole summer laid out, starting with Mick's SK-500, also planned on Indy GG's in September but what with the price of fuel at this time, and not knowing what kind of mileage the Cad is going to get...only have 250 miles on it right now...it's all TBD...we'll see.

My purple(Plum Crazy) 58 Plymouth convertible was painted in Feb.of 1992-Still looks great

 

My wife picked this color out of the 2004 SSR brochure - unfortunately cancer interefered before it was finished and she never got to see it finished. Chevrolet called it "Ultra Violet Pearl Metallic" - has a tint of red pearl when the sun hits it. (Red Hat ladies will appreciate the color combination.)
