I like the 5" chop ... I am considering 7" but I am building a land speed car ... minimum windshield height is 5" ... which translates to 7-1/2" chop ... I have be sure I can sit in a coupe chopped that much and channeled ...

Shooter, it looks great. The coupe is in great shape. I was checking out that wood that was exposed when you cut the B pillar. Hell, I didn't even have any wood left. I am trying to find a close up picture of the joint between the visor and the side roof panel. One of your pictures is fairly close, but could you post another of that joiint for me so I can see that joint better. Thanks a bunch. You made chopping a top look easy.

HA-you got your own fish to fry! Can't wait to see your car! It's gonna be rad dude! We'll line both of ours up at the roundup and let them fight to the death, just don't ask me to drag race you!

The car is still at the shop, I'm gonna go grab it today. Once I get it here I can get those measurements. Can you clarify which measurements you're wanting? The center and edges of the windshield opening? Like the windshield frame itself, or the opening on the body?

  17. Either one would be great,
what ever is easier for you. just as long as you tell me which it was that you measured.
    egdge of windshield height.
    Center of windshield height
    door window opening height
    Thanks a bunch.

Looks great and easy? I have done 2 A's and always have porto-power the windshield posts. Think it might be easyier to cut visor then fill roof. Yours looks great.

Thanks. It went smoothly, just tedious work to make it line up. Luckily we had a pro there with us making sure it went down legit. James was the brains of the operation, he just told us "cut this, trim that, whack this here, etc." If it weren't for him, it wouldn't have gone so smooth-ha!

Yeah, he rules. I talked to him again today for a bit. Such a nice guy. Couldn't thank him enough for letting us do the chop in his bad-ass shop!

Agreed! Two tone green it shall be! (just slightly updated shades of green)

Been plugging away with this and that while I wait for my glass to be cut. Should be done tomorrow or Friday.

I got the seat figured out, it was way to tall after the chop.

Also put a new shift knob on. My wife looked at me funny when I pulled this straight off our house (built in 1929) But she got over it...

As far as the "custom" shift knob that the old guy put on it, I put it where it belonged:

Can't wait to get the glass back in so I can drive this thing..
