I've been helping a pal gather info on Hudson 308 engines. He wants to build one for Bonneville and Elmo and has a couple of good resources for complete stock motors. Now he wants to get serious. He's plugged into Uncommon Engineering and has spent some 'phone time with Ron Bellows in Texas. He's trying to locate a fellow in Atascadero, California, who has a Hudson drag car that apparently kicks ass. Any and all leads and info will be greatly appreciated. TIA Mike Bishop
If it helps, i may have a lead on a 308 Race head (Supposedly used on a "Fabulous Hudson Hornet" in 1952), ill get you some info later.
Don't forget Don Wilson in Brier, WA. In 2002 he set a record in the Hudson Boys' XO BFS at 252.9. Check out the Hudson Boys website (Google). Don's done some amazing stuff with his 328 Hornet.
Cool info, damn that 21 first century site is amazing, that is some awesome products. Those drag race numbers are unreal, I would love to hear that baby run. Love it man. ~sololobo~
Clifford Performance under the now deceased Jack Clifford had a reputation for getting the best out of a Hudson engine. They are still around(he died in 2001) and do a lot of 6 cylinder work. http://www.cliffordperformance.net/
