Dan I've seen that car and its waaaayyyy gone. You would be better off scrapping it. I bet jim sibley could put it back together for you.

fms427 nice ride I love these old shoebox verts. I almost picked one up a year ago but it was bad timing with a different deal I was working on.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but this is a related question...
Has anyone done a custom top on a shoebox? IE, coupe to a convertible conversion?
I have a '49 ford coupe with the top off, frame and body braced but no top. I drive this car a lot and am now thinking of putting a folding convertible top on it and wondered if anyones been down this road before and what or where their top came from.
    Thanks!

By the way, Merc Ryan, the shoebox convertible frames differ between the convertibles and closed cars. The convertibles have X frames. However, I think the '51 Victorias had X frames, and would be easily converted to convertibles if you had a source for the top parts.

Thanks for the heads up about the Victoria frames. My frame already has a large sturdy cross-member installed and the body has some bracing from when the top was cut off. The car has seen plenty of miles with the top cut off and will probably never be as nice as a real convertible but it is what it is.
Has anyone tried putting a late model convertible top on their cut off coupe? I'm thinking later Camaro, Mustang, Sebring type top?
