Great thread. PERFECT chop. My first car was a '50 Club Coupe. I've been looking for another one lately. Your thread will be a great source of inspiration if I ever find the right one.

Kind of has a Frankenstiens monster look with all the tac welds looking like stitches. Chop looks even better outside. Really excited to see how this car looks finished.

  7. Great job so far. Keep up the good work. Are you planning on changing the front end at all?

I like the 49 Ford Grill, sure frenched lights, smoothed and peaked hood, that's it.

    :)

Hey, if not for your tech on chopping, I never would have had the courage.

    Thanks again.

Another Shoebox owner here subscribing to the thread, lots of great inspiration, Mustang tank looks like a good idea, mine has same rear floor rot and a fuel tank that has been stood since 1992. Coming on really nicely Rodster.

Definitely mad skillz, Rich. Don't know how I missed this thread, either. Just how much did you chop? I hear over and over how a subtle chop makes an already lowered shoebox look way too high, but yours looks on track.

Very soon, been finish welding, fixing rust in the front fenders, frenching headlights, etc..

4 inches out of the A pillar, makes about 3 1/2 inches vertically.

And 4 vertical inches out of the C pillar.
