this is my first post here. MY projest is a 1931 pontiac 5 window coupe. This recenlty came from california and is in prety good condition. My plan for it is to strip the fenders off rest of body will probably remain original although there could be a top chop. Drive train will be a 68 pontiac sprint ohc-6 running a clifford 3 webber sidedraft setup and the old style long tube headers, this will be backed up by a m-20 4 speed and a 9" rear. Chassis will be going to progressive chassis for a upgrade which will include boxing frame adding x member superbell drop front axle and triangulated rear. Here are the first set of pics
Welcome to the HAMB...just sayin your FIRST post should be to INTRODUCE YOURSELF..as this forum is intended....Read the "Sticky" at the top of this page..
Yep, that is definitely a 31 Pontiac coupe. Welcome from TN. I'm a little partial to these cars. For about six reasons . I'm sure you've already discovered that these cars are all about 'how goods the wood'. I would try to steer you away from the chop. I've seen this model chopped and I am a fan of chopped cars but I really think these look better with tall top. Here's a couple pics of my coupe for ref.
