  2. Well, Jerry, you scored some really nice brakes there!!;)

This is turning out very nicely. Those side skirts are a very well executed solution to the hiboy A frame car, should give a nice finished look. Very good job with the other detail work too. Looking forward to the finale.

I just spent an hour looking through this thread. One of the best. Jerry, I know that we do not know each other but I respect you as a fellow car builder. Awesome car! I mean awesome!

This is the type of stuff that a reality show should be made of. No drama, just quality building that shows how things are done and gives the rest of us ideas and hopes and dreams and lets us live through the eyes of the builder. I am hoping that at the end of the build you could post a list of parts and cost and time that it took to build this car. Thank you for sharing

Come and get me , copper !! **insert crazy laugh here**

They're gonna hate me once the shoe its the street , I'm sure :) .

Although , I'm counting on the fact that they'll be keeping an eye on Jerry's wife smokin' the sneakers off the Sport Coupe at every stoplight . Then I'll make my move , lol !!

Been a long week..my pop is pretty sick and in the hospital but I've managed to get some stuff done.

First my 6x2 linkage arrived from Dickster..very nice and all preadjusted for the carb spacing on my intake. Also got one of his spiral advance covers..very well made stuff. Thanks Dick! I should be able to get this on sometime this week.

Next, my air compressor in the shop isn't the best so I strapped the aluminum top onto the roof of my Taurus ( I dont have a pickup) and hauled it over to my friend Kevins place where I hit it with some 2000 grit on the DA after blocking it out by hand. I'm really not sure if I want to polish it if I'm going to pad and cover it later on. I might just use some super soft scuff pads and get everything looking uniform. Most of my tooling scratches are now out though

    Paint!!

Well I convinced myself that I would do the spraying on this one. With some great help from my friend Donny everything came out really nice. A sealer coat, 3 coats of base and 3 coats of clear. I'm really proud of how nice it came out. I thought for sure I'd hang a run or two..but I took my time and it layed on nice. I'll get some better pics soon outside. Tomorrow I'm going to colorsand and buff it out.

I'm rounding the troops up and we're going to put the body back on the chassis this weekend.

    Sealer coat

The paint looks great in person - not bad for a music teacher (as Jerry says) . Can't wait to see it sitting on the frame .
