where is the best place to buy wheel adapters? iam looking for a set for 5x4.75 to 5x4.25. thanks merle
Good stout billet ones from Wheelkid! These are affordable, out of Fresno, always in stock. (1-1/4" thick for putting V8 or Kelsey Hayes wheels on a 4.5" pattern 8" or 9" rear) His Dad started the business in the '70s, and they are still #1. Also have hub cap adaptors, their selection is endless.
Had a pair made to my specs here, they make them in a huge variety of widths and bolt patterns. Good quality and quick turnaround, but be sure to call them rather than order straight off of their website. http://www.motorsport-tech.com/
What wheels do you have that are 5 on 4.25" pattern? Are those for the early Valiant/Dart? Or maybe those Chevy Standard artillery wheels? That's just a really odd bolt pattern to have to adapt to. Just curious.
