hello everyone, hope to meet some great people and car builders that we can maybe exchange my little bit of information for a lot of your info. I am 63 years old and just started to build my first what ever it turns out to be. have an original 27 roadster pickup that would challange henry ford himself to make something of. needs everything from ground up. dont know if i have enough sheet metal ability or not. also have a 1952 mercuty montery blimp donor car. 255 flathead with an air cooled auto 2 speed meromatic. so I am building a a 1927 mercury T bucket not a ford. am going to put metcury labels on it. Have been married to the greatest wife a man could have for about 28 years, and don't ask you can't have her. look forward to hearing from you.

Many thanks to everyone that responded. Maybe my granddaughter will help me post some pics soon. I have a few but can't find the gear shift lever on this thing to do that with!
NICE! That'll buff out! PS - a lot of guys might not see this here. Feel free to repost your pics on the main board with your plans. There will be some interest and some great advice. ..and a couple of smartass' too!
thanks for the responses but the pics don't do justice to the t body. It looks much worse in person. Henry would probaly hold services for it. paul
don't have the body work experience to try to raise the the 27 parts from the dead. bought a Corbin fiberglass body to get going. maybe change out the body at a later date if i don't like it. to much humidity here let out side metal last long before it is past repair. still need all the advice I can get befor this build is out and running. thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Have frame steel!!!!!!!!!!! Cutting and welding going on!!!!!!!!! Wish me luck, I will need it! Never done any thing like this.

Welcome from another 'old guy!' Don't worry, you WILL have the sheet metal ability; what better place to learn, and your rusty bucket is the perfect place to start!
A lot of looking and measuring, a little bit of cutting, a little bit of welding, a whole lot of grinding!!!!!!! What would i do without the grinders!! Not much. Going to have a frame soon. need more grinding wheels and a place to buy them cheap!!!!! Sure would help to know what I am doing!! thanks for all the advice and tips everyone, but mostly for the encouragement to just git-r-done.
