shoebox rearside glass removal..

Has anyone ever taken out the divider between the rear side glass and the little vent window. and replaced with one piece glass? ive been looking around for a one piece seal to make it a fixed glass window with one piece glass. i don't want it too be windable just a static window. is there such a thing as universal seal that is a strip that is cut to length and glued in place?

im getting ready to do this to mine but im going to leave mine operational there is a guy on here who did it to his making it stationary glass i think he did a post about it maybe do a search?

someone told me you could use a vw beetle fixed quarter window seal. haven't tried it yet but it looks like it would work. good luck.

 

Dave Paras (Glassguy) talked me through it, but I havent actually done it yet. Post some pics when I do.
