I've read the threads about using Ford Aerostar front springs to lower 49-51 Fords and Mercs and was wondering if anyone has used this set up with a heavy engine like a 401 Nailhead. I also plan on upgrading the old single slave MC to a dual res MC. I'll keep the drum brakes though. I don't mind moving it to the firewall. Anyone know what MC would work and what I should stay away from?

Yo! My neighbor has an 80s town car and I believe looking quickly both ports on the master are 3/16", with no prop valve wonder how that would work? We are going to swap it into my friends 51 coupe soon.

I've installed Aerostar springs on my 55 Ford with an FE motor. Should be no problem. I'm also running a mid sixties Mustang dual master cylinder for drum brakes. An easy swap because the bolt holes even line up.

Thanks. Is the master in the 55 Ford under the floor like the Merc?

No it's on the firewall. Didn't consider that you have a Merc when I answered.
