What is it?

    What is this thing? It looks to be very late '40s or early '50s. But since this is the best shot I could get legally, I can't see it well enough to nail down a year or make. You guys always seem to be able to identify things despite the less than ideal photos. I've always thought it was cool cause it appears to be one of the last (pseudo?) woodie wagons. I have no idea how long the car has been there, but I've driven by from time to time over the last 3 years and nothing appears to have moved on the property.

    judging by the roof and quarter window openings, I would guess 49-51 for woody wagon


    EDIT: looks to be a 4 door wagon, maybe Plymouth?

    Man, I feel like a fool. I never even noticed it was a 4 door. Good eye!

    did Ford make a 4-dr 'woodie' wagon in 49-51? My first thought was Willys wagon (47-62), but I don't see any back doors in the photo.

    Looks to be a "metal woody". May be a 52 to 54 Chevy. They're pretty rare if it is.

    I thought the rear windows and roof looked like GM. If I decide to go after it, I'll have my fingers crossed hoping it's a Pontiac.
