i gotta have me one of those shirts ! plus im gonna be driving up the biding on his artwork thats auctioned off , i want that piece !

 

yeash - get the big money bags out ....That piece that Keith did that is gonna be auctioned off typically sells at art gallerys for about $2500

I suspect the bidding will wind up being under $1K

 

Keith-great shirt. Will have to make sure to get one early. As far as the auction piece goes. I hope it brings a lot as well as the other pieces there. Can't wait! One month!!

 

I'm hoping I can make it out again this year. I had a blast last year ! I'm kinda in the same pickle as last year . I'm hoping to find someone to ride out with and help pay for gas. I would love to cruise out in a hot rod and shoot picks on the way.

They are based either in Grand Rapids or Kalamazoo area- I cant remember which - I know some of those guys are heading over...........

as some may know....and for those that dont....
Vintage Torque Fest does NOT give out trophies.....
we are NOT opposed to them - just dont want to fall into the political trap of all the bull that goes into giving out trophies.

SO

If a CAR CLUB presents a car with what THEY feel is the best car at the show......then everyone will understand that it is that particular group that decided on the best car in THEIR OPINION.

This being said - we hope that perhaps the Rat Bastards, Los Punk Rods, Road Devils Detroit, Hoodlums, Voodoo Kings, Hot Heads, Suedes, and yes - even the world famous Swiss Car Club, Bombers, Oliver Group, etc will throw something together and present to the fellow hot rodders. This presentation will be at 4pm or 430pm in the Vendor Building #1

 

This ORIGINAL Keith Weesner painting will be available at auction Saturday, April 30 2011.

Many of you know that Keith Weesner original paintings are very prized possessions by their
owners....
here is a chance for you to become one of the few that actually own an ORIGINAL Weesner.

Typically galleries will sell Keith's original works from $800 to $3500. Price is usually determined by
the size of the image and the amount of time and detail in the art.

Keith has NEVER painted this many cars on a single painting.....this should help push the price on this
amazing piece.
Also - Keith will be in attendance to personalize the painting - signature, personalized note, as well
as a photo op are available to the winner. Please note there will be no added painting to this
completed work. Additional signature/personalization will be on the BACK of the painting.

Auction scheduled to start 2 PM Saturday April 30, 2011.

Exact time for this lot has yet to be determined - most likely around 2:20-2:30

All proceeds for this painting are going to Helping Hannahs Heart Foundation and the winner will be
able to claim a tax deductible expense on their 2011 income tax returns. Proper documentation will be
available for winner if needed.

OK - heads up to the HAMB members - we are already at 240 pre registrations for Vintage Torque Fest......
what does that mean to you?

well - if you intend on coming to the drive in on Saturday night - odds are it will be sold out for PRE REG ONLY

so dont get there and complain about not getting to go........

We will be announcing this on facebook as well.

Last year we had about 120 TOTAL pre reg.

Most of them arrived in the 2 weeks prior to the show.........
we are double what the pre reg was last year! So this could translate into double the cars that came out last year - if this happens....we could get a LOT of cars.

I suspect we will get at least 600....
but the potential to get up to 800 is there.

Crazy.

But good.....

hey - hey!!! Rat Bastards are really stepping up - love it - so.....any other clubs gonna do an award for what you think is the best of the show?

We dont care about giving all the trophies to one guy - cause if that one ride is the best in the house............then it should go home with extra iron!
I know the Voodoo Kings are gonna present and I think the Half Fast guys will be doing something......how about Road Devils? I know there will be some in the house - they gonna bring anything to present?

 

The SWISS would be honored to present an award. Its already made and ready to go!!!

Just wanted to let everyone on the HAMB know that the guaranteed spots at the drive in are now "sold out".

I know that we will have about 20-30 extra spots that night of the show....but I dont want to overbook the drive in.
So a BIG thank you to all the pre registration people - we certainly appreciate it.

Yes we will still be giving out the DVD to anyone that pre registers - it will be available in late June or early July.

We will also be giving special treatment for the Pre Registered people on Saturday Morning - you can get in up to 1 hour early!

so

if you are a Pre Registered car - you will be able to get into the show at 8am

the rest of the cars get in at 9 am and the public gets in at 9am as well.

cant wait need to get my camper drug out of the corner ! hopin to rinish the roadster yet but w a wedding this weekend and moving my business to a new location its really cutting into my time ! i'm happy to come either way its a deff good time
