I am putting a 31 coupe back together. How do the rear fender brackets mount? Horizontally in the two holes in the fender well? Or at an angle so that the fender lip lines up with the bracket?

I have not been able to find any images to help me.

    Thanks,

    Simk

  3. I can tell you the Tudor brackets mount at an angle. I guess a Coupe would too.

They mount horizontally at the 2 holes along the back edge of the wheel well. But you may not even need the brackets. I didn't use them on my 29 coupe and have had it on the road for 20+ years. The fenders are nice solid originals and were plenty strong without them. But depending on the condition of yours, you may still want to use the braces.
