    I am looking for images of either of Dick Boynton's B/FX Trucks (LB 413 MW and SB 426 MW). I have found a couple of sites on line with a few images but am hopping to find more here... I have a '61 SB in the driveway that I want to build Period Correct.

    Thank you for your time...

    That truck was built by Dragmasters with a lot of help from Chrysler. Boynton was a top 40 disk Jockey on KCBQ and KDEO in the late 50's, early 60's. Dode Martin in Fallbrook CA might have info and pictures

    I saw a picture of this truck when HOTROD was doing a spread on gassers. I love this thing.

    Unfortunately Dode has no recollection of those trucks. I visited his "hobby shop" a few years back and was really hoping to get some answers regarding them. Super nice guy, it was an honor and pleasure to meet him but infowise I didn't get anywhere. He gave me a couple of original Dragmasters stickers though. Here's some discussion about the Boynton trucks;

    Just as a side note, Dick lived in an apartment in North Park and I would often see the truck parked on the street around 30th and Redwood. He sometimes used a tow bar to take the truck to the races. Of course, the tow truck was a Dodge.

    Now that is awesome! Do you remember any details about the tow truck? Color, D100, D200, regular cab or crew etc? I looked at the intersection via google street view...could you pinpoint more exactly where the truck was parked? Do you know where he lived? Does the neighborhood look similar today, some houses seem quite old? Sorry to bug you...I think I have to go and check this neighborhood out some day...

    Thanks for the mail Dennis!

    OK, let's keep this one going, I have been trying to find out more about these trucks for 30 years...here's a good article from the May 1963 issue of Hot Rod Magazine where the Dragmasters build the second truck;

    Sure appreciate you posting this new pic, it seems safe to assume that both trucks were painted Sunset Yellow at the factory.

    What I'd really like to see is that shifter arrangement by the ashtray, the tach and other interior details of the first truck. Anyone have a photo to share?

    Sport Club Coupe?? Right. Not a race truck but there is one about 5 miles from me. A driver I think. And I believe a 426. Havent seen it for years. Will have to shoot over there in the next few. Maybe get some pics.
