Event Coverage ACME Speed Shop's Road trip to Lone Star Round Up

Well tomorrow we leave for our road trip to the 10th Round Up. My buddy Jack Hamilton and I are driving to from Orange Co. Ca to Wellington TX. (Bob Owens') and then on to Austin.

I will be doing all of the updates from my iphone so they will be short and sweet (more photos than words).

I will start off with the required "in front of my house the night before leaving" shot.

Here goes......over 3000 miles in the ACME van starts at the crack of dawn tomorrow.

Joe Kerr (Joker) and I are leaving Brownsburg (IN) on Monday afternoon in his nailhead powered A coupe. Meeting up with the So-What guys and Bobby and Tyler Hilton among others in Nashville (TN) and then rolling to Austin. See you there.

Jack and I got off to a slow start with the van having some troubles about 10 miles from home. I think it is fixed now.

Our first stop is breakfast at the summit inn where the dry lakes guys would stop on route to El Mirage. This has been here since 1929 (the first one) and the current one since1952. A Special place.

 

What a cool van! Look forward to checking it out.

Summit Inn.. what a neat place to eat and enjoy a special place on old Route 66... Was there in Nov.. that was the weekend El Mirage got the high ground water and the event was cancelled... The inside of Summit Inn is kick-butt!

Wish I was driving. Have a safe-great adventure John, C and Jack. Since all the cool guys are going the LSR, I'll have Goodguys Del Mar all to myself. You made my first upcoming show possible and again thanks a million for helping out a FNG.
