We've lost a good one... Struggling for words right now.
Prayers for him and his family.

  2. I was going to post this when I heard yesterday. Along with being a friend, he's the guy who hooked me up with the original builder of my Anglia at Blair's.
Bob was going through a rough patch financially for a while now. We talked a week or so ago and I didn't realize how bad it really was. It finally got the better of him, and that's a real shame.
Really feel sorry for his wife and kids, prayers be with them.
    Gonna miss you Bob!

Was Bob the guy who was helping a widow a couple of years ago get rid of some high dollar parts ? I talked to him at the Walt James Classic in Rosamond.
If it is may his family find peace in the fact he is no longer suffering.
    May he R.I.P

Holy shit!! You have got to be kidding me, Bob was a great guy! He stopped by my shop about a month ago and we were talking shop, cars etc. He was a cool guy, that was always nice! My deepest condolences to his family.

What a shock, talked to Bob on lots of occasions about differnet parts he had and he was always friendly and took the time to answer my dumb questions. He'll be missed!

  15. Grant, Thank you for coming on here at this difficult time. I first met your dad back in the late 60's, then reconnected about 6 years ago. He was the type of guy that would do anything for you. He was absolutely instrumental in my connecting with the original owner of my Blair's Speed Shop Anglia and seemed as proud as I was when we finished the restoration last year. He used to come by my shop a lot just for a bit of BS and we always enjoyed a Coors Light or two at the LARS Swap Meet.
I am so sorry that things had gotten to this point for him. Have peace in knowing that he was respected and loved by many.
Best prayers for you and the rest of your family. Don

My Family and I will be having a gathering to celebrate my Fathers life at Original Mikes in Santa Ana, CA on April 16th from 11-1 PM. Please bring your Hot Rod, as the location accommodates them regularly with car shows. My Family would love the presence of his passion to be around during the celebration of life. There will be a microphone for those who want to share stories. The more the merrier! My Family and I hope to see you all there! Thank you all for the love and support, we are truly blessed to know so many caring people.

Your father was a nice man, he was always fair when I was dealing with him. I wish your family well at this sad time. He knew Strombergs better than anyone I know.

Looking at this , I'm reminded of the fact that the years we spent on Henry's Hot water heater will go to the great gasoline station in the sky. By that, I'm refering to a wealth of learned experence has been lost , You sir will be missed . scrubba
