This looks AWESOME!!! Unfortunately, I already have this year's vacation time planned out, and the Falcon will still be getting her pedicure and face lift, so...Here's to having another in 2012!!! :D :D

Pretty sure we are gonna be able to have a dirt track exhibition of vintage motorcycles.

This will be a handful of professionals going out on the track....sorry - the common joe can NOT bring his motorcycle on the track.

It is gonna be really cool to see these guys doing this and hope the track wont be too slick for them.

  6. ...and BUS RACES too! ....rumor has it.

That would be the Hurstville Low School Bus? I thought there were two chopped school busses racing last time. Love to see a big ol bus sideways on the dirt.

yes - we are in crunch time now - so if there are any "locals" in the area that need some promo material - please let me know.

We just sent out about 20 packs of promo material to people from MN, WI, IL, MO, and IA

if you are on the list - expect it on Tuesday.

    THanks for all the support.

I think you guys are making a great shift in car shows that is for the better,,,

    get away from suburban areas

go to a small town/ out of the way venue

    add in a dirt oval

ADD IN fIGURE 8 SCHOOL BUS RaCES

    add in vintage oval races

    add in bbands

    add in out door movies

    add in weekend camping

    partener with the locals

    make it rain or shine

DO NOT MAKE IT FREE,,,FREE EVENTS ARE POOR EVENTS,,, POOR QUALITY OF FOLKS AND POOR CAR OWNERS,,,BOTH COMPLAIN A LOT

MAKE IT A RURAL COUNTY EVENT

YOU FOLKS HAVE TAKEN THE BEST OF ALL PAST HAMB EVENTS AND MADE IT ALL IN ONE

    BRAVO!!!

Ps if you want make money,,, sell ice,,, corner the ice sales for the county,,, in these out of the way events they make $2 profit per bag of ice,,,,contact all the wholesale ice suppliers with in 100 miles,,, and cut a deal with them,,, thye will sell 2 to 3 40 ft trailers of ice,,,,do the math,,,,$$$

not sure ice will be needed at the end of April........
    let's HOPE!!!

Thanks for the kind words - I have been fortunate enough to go around to a LOT of shows around the country and I think the BEST parts are what we have tried to put into Torque Fest.

Of course it takes guys with the killer rides to show up and support the show to really make it an event and that is why I hope that some people who have not got "on board" with the event will do so this year.

    Perhaps even VOLUNTEER?!!!!

People sure like to complain after the fact - but very few volunteer to try to make the situation better.........I have seen this at shows all over the country as well. And it has really hurt some shows - so I hope that the fellow HAMB members will come out and give a couple hours of their time to help support the cause.

Some of the Rat Bastards from Appleton, WI would like to volunteer. For sure we've got three maybe four of us going for both days. We're getting together Friday to see if we can round up some more. We were hoping maybe we could all work together somehow? We helpted park cars at Symco last year, so we have some experience there. But we're down for whatever you guys might need.

Well we're getting together to talk details about the trip tomorrow. What I did was print off a bunch of copies of the sign up sheet from you're web site. I'll have those interested fill em out and give them back to me and I'll put it all into one E-mail if thats cool with you. I figure it might save some time and help keep us bastards together.

    Thanks,

    Evan
