Well boys....my dream is coming true starting today. I got back from a year in Afghanistan yesterday and I have been dreaming about getting greasy in my garage for the past year, the last 3 months being really bad. Of course I had to take care of a few other priorities yesterday but today its just me at home with my 2 cars today. You guys kept me going all year as I was able to check in if the comps were up in my AO and I was chomping at the bit watching your posts and your projects. You will never know how much you miss this stuff until you can't do it for a while and I know you have all been there at one time or another. No bitching about breaking a bolt today or skinning my knuckles.....I'm going to enjoy every second!!! Enjoy the days guys, life is short......
Welcome Home. Thank you for your service and life IS to damn short. Being away in some God-for-saken country will quickly make one realize how great life is in these United States. Now, get your ass to work and don't look back.....
Comming home is a good thing my friend. Glad you made it back. Now go out and do some recouping from a long year. Thanks friend
I can relate to the max...I spent 2 and a half years in Germany in the late 60s. No hotrods! I was able to take a leave long enough to go home and buy a 57 Pontiac 2 door sedan with factory stick setup. It sat in my parent's back yard until my tour was done.. Man, I spent many hours thinking of what I was going to do with it when I got home...mentally built that car over and over while slogging through cold mud and snow in Europe.. Congrats and welcome home..I appreciate your service.
Welcome home! It's been 40 years but I will never forget a commercial air liner full of Navy Sea Bees all singing Proud Mary on the flight home. It was a special moment. Enjoy yours and thanks for your service.
Welcome home, & thank you for your service to our great country. It's because people like yourself, that we [in the USA] are able to have the freedom to do the things we enjoy doing
Welcome home - now show us some pics of whatever you are working on and your "progress" - thank you for your service!
