engine rebuilders, houston???

need to find a good machine shop to rebuild a 351M to swap into my galaxie 500...want to spend about 3 grand and have a bout 450-500 hp...is this possible???

450hp for $3k is going to be a real challenge. I guess it will depend on what you are starting with, and what you can do yourself. If you find swap meet Cleveland heads, and a good used intake, and a 400m bottom end, it would go a long ways. Getting the compression up, and an adjustable valve train in there seems real important.

3 GRAND 400Hp and Ford dont mix well lol I just did a 302 swap in my ford it turned out to be double what I thought

 

Put a 430 in it and it will have 300 horse bone stock and a shit load of torque
