back to the top!! I had to include a picture of the madame fefe 56 chevy even though its quads headlights aren't canted, but i still feel the car belongs on this thread
Hey, is that the Lemon Squash? or something similar.... I remember it having green flames and nicer wheels....same car?
^^^ what a sweet car^^^ Who built it? is it from the east coast? and, most important, is it still alive? The tail lights in the kustom fins are really sweet, i prefer the version on the 1st picture thou, and i really like the lenses on the floatin bars. I say mid 60s.right? Thanx.
How could the car be built in the early 50's when the first quad lights that were used for the build didn't come out until 1958?
The late Covair bucket and bezel with the center pointy bit up works great... They lean forward, allow a peak at the top of the fender, and angle so they aren't visible in profile, and they are still cheap. I watched a guy put a pair in a still-born '55 Ford project, lot's of Marglass, but it would have easy enough to do in metal.
Not sure if these were posted on this thread, these came from Frank from the 2009 VivaLasVegas Show 2009
I agree, from what I remeber it was built by an older gentlmen who had some spare parts and threw them on a late model car he had in the yard.
I am not sure what the donor quads came from but the area they were frenched into the fenders was all paint...no trim.
I have aset of 1958 Lincoln head light trim and fenders I plan to graft onto my 51 merc. Not sure when I will get to it. I also have a set of 62 Chrysler trim rings (no fenders) to play with. I am really looking forward to it!
