This was mine a few years ago. Most of the body with the exception of the cowl side panels was scratch built, along with the chassis.

do you happen to remember the dimensions of the body? Im thinking 90 inches from cowl to rear, 50 inches wide and 24 high......

That tub was about 54" wide and about 52" long x 24" high. This is pretty in the middle for a roadster pickup. I have a '27 roadster in the shop now that is 90 5/8" overall x 49" wide and 24 1/4" high, and A '29 roadster pickup that is about the same dimensions as the red roadster above. Don't know if this helps. Let me know if you need any of the above cars measured. The '27 will be oout of the shop by next weekend.

Get to be good friends with a shot bag and english wheel.

just got a call from a guy that wants to trade my 63 galaxie 500 4door (parts car) for a brand-new 302 hes had sitting in his shop for 30 years....considering it since ive had the car on CL for a month with no bites......hoping he'll let me keep the tail lights...think they're a perfect fit. also got a 48 chev rear end....not sure if im gonna use it, my gramma's got a 9" ford positrack in an old falcon wagon out on her farm i can go grab. also got an early ford front end complete hub to hub with spring and wishbones that i need to take pictures of, need some help identifying it...thanks for all the quick replies! keeps the motivation up!

  9. Here is mine built from pieces of a 30 tudor and a truck hood. Worked very well. I cut up no cars to do this.

My intention was to make my roadster look factory. Every piece was modified in some way except for the hood to make this work.
