I hate to even post this because i am a die hard Ford man. My dad is building a 54 2 door Bel air, with a 302 Ford none the less. He had a local chrome plating business plate some parts for his dash and they said anything pot metal is hard to plate and most of the time too costly to restore. My question is, he needs tail light bezels but he is worried about the quality of the chrome on aftermarket bezels. Has anyone had any experience with repop bezels good or bad and where is the best place to get them. Thanks
quality plating of yuma colorado did some pot metal chromeing for my 58 chevy.turned out great. thier ph. # 970-848-2065
I've seen these at shows and they look really nice, for that price they should be. http://www.chevsofthe40s.com/dept/C...ts_LED_Lights_Flush_Mount_Kits_Blue_Dots.html Or check "that auction site" sometimes NOS ones pop up.
chrome likely will not hold because of the Ford mill-Ha! for parts try online search for: ecklersearlychevy.com
Well I have no idea on the quality of the repops, but yes I restore pot metal, and it can be expensive to do correctly.
