Pics added..........The world of wheels car show is this weekend, who's going and anyone putting their car in the show? I am going on Sunday and taking my 6 year old daughter so she can meet Billy the Exterminator.
I'll be there Saturday afternoon as a spectator. I'm taking my daughters with me after they're done selling Girl Scout Cookies the Dahls grocery store on 86th st.
Hi All! I will have a booth with the new copies of Hot Rod. Please stop by and say hi! Had a lot of fun setting up, you know, the smell of the grease and the roar of the engines! Oh, and if there are any lemon girl scout cookies left, I’ll take a couple of boxes! My new favorite! Holly
sorry i wont be going . i can remember when world of wheels was a huge event at vets aud . 2 floors of cars bikes and some guy selling wax. when the powers that be decided vets was to big, with ample parking and easy to get to decided to move to other more modern buildings. i kinda lost interest
Well here is some pics that I took, not the greatest show at all. I sure do miss the old days when it was both levels at Vets Auditorium.
Someone said next year it might be back at Vets? Not sure if thats true of not. I thought it was ok. If nothing else I go to see some friends I don't get to see very often. Put me in the mood to work on the truck again.
We had a booth at the show. The show promoter told us that it would be at the same location but they'd be adding another room. Apparently the next room was under construction this year. Either way, I don't think we'll be going back as attendance was WAY low! Friday was a ghost town and Saturday and Sunday weren't much better.
anyone that came to the WOW in Des Moines...............should really think about coming to Torque Fest. It will be worth the trip. www.vintagetorquefest.com April 29-30 Maquoketa IA RAIN OR SHINE
