Would a 205 whatever for a 14 inch wheel, be the same outer diameter as one for a 15 inch wheel? Or is this one of those apples and oranges situations?
    Thanks!

no, the rim diameter will change the tires overall diameter. the rating of tire size is as follows, 205/75r15 205 is tire width, the 75 is the percentage the sidewall is of the tire width, and the 15 is, well you know.
so the side wall of the tire is 75 percent of the tread width. there are websites, one i know of is the tire size configurator, you can mix and match tire sizes and see the actual difference.

Okay, that's what I needed to hear. I'll take my trusty tape measure and go hunting then.
    Thanks a lot!
