My first car was a 1966 Custom 500 4 door.

Mine p-code sold new in Roanoke got the original recieph???? spelling

 

This was actually my first car. I got it in 91 and my dad and I put a 460 in it and the teardrop hood. I sold the car after he died in 95 and kicked myself after it. I bought it back in March of 2010 it had been sitting for atleast 10 years. It needs work but it isnt going anywhere this time. I'm going to restore it the way we had planned back then. <!-- / message -->

 

Got a few, most not HAMB friendly.

Bagged since 99, but pushed to the side for now.


Daily driver when nice.


Owned since 1990, going through an update right now.

I have this '66 I picked up with a knocking 289 in it. Undecided if I should put another rebuilt 289 I have done back in or put in the 460 BB I also have ready for it.

Just finished putting together a 300hp 390 for it.

 

I've got a 66 with the 289 and 3 speed.
Going through a makeover right now....pics are in the album of what I started with.

 

Pretty wild looking motor plate. Should be quick. Any idea on finished weight? Mike

 

It should end up around 2900 lbs without me in it. The backhalf and cage are chrome-moly and all the floors and trunk pans are aluminum and the hood, trunk lid, bumpers, fenders, inner fenders, core support, gravel shield and bumper brackets are fiberglass. It's getting an A-headed 545, two nitrous systems and a powerglide.
