once upon a time there was a swap meet about this time of year at Phil Long Ford. does it still exist? (the swap meet)
Super show and swap is what you're asking about. Usually about this time of year. I haven't heard anything about it, but the Phil Long Expo center sold to a church last year. There was a gun show that was suspossed to be at the expo center a few weeks ago that had to find another location. I understand they moved it to the old Albertsons on Academy Blvd, in Rustic Hills.
I think he's asking about the swap that the Stockers club use to have at the dealership. No, they don't have it there nowdays. It moved a couple times and ended up out at PPIR but went away after PPIR closed for a while. Now that it is open again I see they have a swap meet on their calander for the 13th of next month.
Haven't been in a few years (before it closed) but it was a pretty decent swap then. Most of it was in the garages in the infield so the weather wasn't a issue. Can't say what they're doing now days though.
Rootie is right, 13th of March. Here is link: http://www.ppir.com/calendar/calendar.php?month=03&year=2011 Just says swap meet for hill climber assoc.
To kinda follow up with this thread, is there a list anywhere of all the upcomming swap meets in Colorado? Not trying to steal your thread Tom. Mike
no problem, hey just so ya know, bandimere 4/30 is the next one i know about.. i generally post here; http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?groupid=104 for swap meets that i know about keep an eye out there...
Thanks Tom for the info on Bandimere and the link to Colo HAMBers. I actually got some good deals at Tri-State. Got 3 1926-26 Olds headlights, a large lot of aluminum bar stock, some machinist tools, and some other items. Usually i just come home tired. Looking for a few more items for a speedster project like some interesting brake lights.
