Ya, you get to visit the Queen.

Looks to be similar to a Nields, possibly.

Possibly a cutdown salesman display model, for shows.

Might be a custom built unit, something like an adaptation of a Rover box. Just guessing.

Seems to me I remember someone posting on here on one of the cowl steering threads that he had a buddy who built one like that and he was trying to get him to make them to sell.

Are you trying to introduce them for sale yourself ?

Have to wait for the reveal :) I'm pretty sure I was awful close to being right.

Has to be a custom built unit and if I'm recalling correctly it has been posted in another thread as I mentioned earlier.

I could be wrong it has been known to happen ;) Like Feb 14th 1977 ! ( married my first wife  ) :)

The one in the coupe was a proto-type, new one is much nicer, here is another photo..Though this one is finished in our 'as cast' colour.

I really don't get the point of this thread!
Rustycoupe asks the question, as if he was inquiring where he may get one or as if he needs more info on the steering box. Then on the last post he says " this is OUR as cast one"
So, why ask the question if you already know the answer. If you are proudly showing off your wares (and looking at the pictures, you should be proud, it looks great!) then stop pissin us about, and give us the details!!!
If this is just a silly game for "those in the know", then I'm sure theres a back room in some pub where you can play!
    Cheers,
    Stewart.

  22. Info forthcoming...................a little bird told me.

Plus, I gotta say that that is one of the nicest looking boxes ever cast.

Agreed, strange thread, but I REALLY like what I see here!

As long as the ratios are suitable for street drivers and prices are reasonable (or at least better than what's available now), I'm guessing this will be a great thing!

I tend to agree with you on that. I sent him a PM and as I thought it has been posted before in another thread, the initial pictures were obviously of a machined prototype.

I asked about the price and he told me to stay tuned. I hope the price will be reasonable, as the price for the Schroeder boxes are totally rediculous.

Yeah, talk about teasing. Or should this be considered shameless self-promotion? Or would that just be spam?

Either way, some pricing and specs would be nice if this thread is for real.

    Strange thread...

Sorry mate, I was just trying to find out in an inconspicuous way peoples opinion and do a little market research as to whether or not it was worth our while marketing this product in the US as a UK competitor to an already successful US product, But thanks for your support.

People always ask about ratios, I will post that info, but every one must understand that the final ratio is determined by the length of Pitman arm and the length and position of the steering arm at the wheel hub.

Looks sweet....just depends on if you're wanting a UK price in US dollars.
