Ok Billetproofers, lets have some motorized fun and help out with a good cause at the same time!!!

Florida PoorBoy "Big" Mike Domke's 15year old neice, Sydne Mushaben, has been diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma and is currently undergoing treatment. Sydne is a cheerleader, softball palyer and National Honor Student at her high school. Her care is racking up the bills so we are going to help out. How? We'll scrounge up an old and busted junkyard engine, drain the water and oil out of it, start it up and guess how long it takes to go KABOOM at Billetproof Florida! Those guesses are going to cost you a couple of bucks. If your guess is the closest to the time of the Motor Meltdown then you win some cash and assorted Billetproof swag. The best part? The rest of the cash goes to help pay medical bills for Sydne's care.
This is to help out a member of our own hot rodding family, so dig deep and have some fun at the same time!!! The Motor Meltdown will take place at the Billetproof Florida Show on April 9, 2011 at the Alachua County Fairgrounds. We'll see you there.

Wonder if its gonna make a big BOOM or just stop....but its for a great cause..

  7. Either way, it'll be smoky and loud... no mufflers, no oil, no water and 5,000 rpm...

It'll be a learning experience for those who have never experienced an engine blowing first hand.

How about some Minibike grudge match drag races out back in the feild?!
People lay some money down and the winner splits the pot with Big Mike
    and Sydne!

    Anyone remember Kenny's minibike?

  16. I would like to be able to tell you you can donate right to to her, but the two entities with websites that are supposed to be handling the donations haven't put up web pages (with "Donate here" buttons) specifically dedicated to Sydne like they said they would... If I don't see them up soon, I'll just put one up and eat the Paypal fees and pay the taxes myself... The bills are starting to coming in.

Neat fundraising idea for what sounds like a very worthwhile cause.

I always wondered if that stuff works. Are we going to know if anything like this has been done?

  21. It'll be "as pulled" from whatever POS Skip finds on Craigslist... Water and oil drained.

    BTTT once again!

  25. http://basecamp.org/?pid=donate

Apparently they set up a non-profit charity in the name of "Dunedin Duathlon" but not in Sydne's name... if you want to donate and so you can write it off on your taxes, donate to "Dunedin Duathlon - Sydne" in the blank...

Sydne finished up here last round of chemo, and they did a PET scan and said the could not see any trace of the cancer (Yeah! No radiation neccessary!!!), but she has to go back for PET scans for 3 more months to make sure, but as this is winding down, the bills are just starting to come in.

Thanks everyone. Especially Alan and Skip and the Poor Boys.

    Don't forget !

  29. I just set this up so if you can't make it to Billetproof, Florida this year, you can still do something.

It's on my site where I sell my stickers, and I will be making up the difference myself of what Paypal takes out in fees, so if you donate $1.00, my sister and Sydne get $1.00.

Thanks, we really appreciate any little bit.

I made it mandatory to put in a shipping address, so that we can send you a thank you card... Does anybody feel weird about putting in their address? I'll take that off as a requirement if anybody does. I think it may have caused some problems when you are finishing up in Paypal.
